About the table round we gathered
Once, though long ago
And battled fear and deep darkness
And warred with grief and woe
In the old lands of Normandy
Once we rode brave
But long days are since passed
And nations cold in their grave
Even to old Jerusalem great
We journeyed for a time
Slipping from valor into cruelty
From kingliness to crime
In the joust we once rode tall
And in the field of war
But long days have passed since
And we will ride now nevermore
For the days of knighthood are ended
Of combat between noble men
For infantry marches where we once did
And we shan’t ever ride again
So the stories of old are quieted
The days of knighthood are done
Now fall the days of valor and might
To the thunder of the gun

So very true. The days of chivalry and honor are long gone and will never come back. Cold steel and lead are the watch words of this day and age. Not to mention the power of the sun in a package the size of a briefcase. Wonderful work. Good luck in the contest.
