Better Left To Fate

In our lives we can’t predict
We are not meant to know
If love will grow or cause conflict
For so long it can feel so right
You never could have known
How things would end this night

Its best that we just don’t know
The answers to it all
A preview of life’s show
Our lives our better left to fate
We all could miss the pain
But what would be left to anticipate

Loving you, I thought I’d never fall
For a moment we had it all
And had I known how it would end
Who knows, I may have built a wall
But I’m so glad I didn’t know
The answers to it all
A preview of life’s show

Our lives are better left to fate
We could all miss the pain
But what would be left to anticipate

Yes, my life is better left to fate
I could have missed the pain
But what would be left to anticipate

This is really good. You have retained the lyrical quality to the piece, I can inagine them being sung. The meaning and feeling behind this piece is great. Thank you for the entry, and your time in writing it.

Rhyme is definately your forte, it sings so easily and I love Garth Brooks, could hear him sing this, beautifully done. Love, C

      Thanks!

I also love Garth Brooks, been to three concerts! The song the Dance has always made me cry! It was my little brothers favorite song, when he died I used it in his eulogy. It now means even more to me. Thank you for your kind comments and applause, always very appreciated. Yes, unfortunately I am cursed to be a rhymer.
