Well I may not have the strength,
And I may not have the time,
But I've always got my reasons,
And I've always got a rhyme.

Then, my friend, I'd rather lie,
And if all of life is sin,
Then, my friend, I'd rather die.

There's always a way,
There's always a scheme,
There's always a hope,
There's always a dream.
