Laughing Tears.

It sounds like laughter,
it sounds like there's nothing wrong.
But the sound, is the sound of a girl crying,
trying to cover up for so long
sooner or later, it would have exploded.
She sounds as if she's laughing,
but we all know that's not true.
Her crying goes deep within her soul.
She can't carve it out, to make it go away.
No matter how hard she tries,
she can't stop herself.
The tears keep on coming,
she keeps on "laughing,"
but we all know...
Her soul is about to break
and shatter everywhere around her.

She has no more glue, she has no more tape.
She can't put together those pieces once again,
she has no willpower to do so.
I see her try and try to make things right,
but she can't figure out why, they're not.
She keeps on trying,
but it's not working.
And that causes her to cry even more.
The sound is horrifying.
The sound is sickening.
The laughter that comes out of tears,
are the ones that needs the most attention.
