But I Realized

A laugh, A smile.
I haven't seen you in a while.

Once sunny, once bright.
Now you've became as black as night.

Full of joy, full of hope.
Who would know thats the way your body would float.

Full of sensation, full of relation.
Who would know that you would suffer that kind of devastation.

Secrets kept, never to be told.
Until it was to late, you couldn't be controlled.

With all the cheers and laughter everything seemed serene.
But now you're gone, and even in my heart, you can't be seen.

The kiss of the blade.
Soon your memories would fade.

Gasping and gasping all for one last breath.
But this is one suicide you would regret.

You didn't understand, I had to let you go.
I never understood how you felt, so how could I ever know.

Once forever friends.
To never laugh again.

Once companions for life.
To die by the blade of a knife.

All gone before the blink of an eye.
But I realized I never got to say goodbye
