The suspense stifles
Hours dragging on,
Moments akin to lifetimes
A static choice
To throw caution to the wind; to yield to desire?
To yield willpower to the moment?
Conviction falling in the face of habit?
No
Yes
Thus the dilemma of a far off consequence
Thus the unraveling psyche
Thus the pristine chaos
Ending in broken sleep

Wow brilliant! You skillfully took me through temptation, the battle, wrestling, the choices, the dilema, the endings and today because I haven't had a ciggy since yesterday morning. Shhhhhh!
Peace Georgia

Impressive... One thing that I like in this poem is the “no" and the "Yes" Those two words are just amazingly powerful by themselves and clearly marks the point. I see a lot of people try to complicate their poetry with words they do not know but this is genuine. You have a good vocabulary. I enjoyed the lenght- wonderful! Keep it up!
