Sometimes, when a little boy is at play
Covered in dirt at the end of the day
Father sees what his son has done
Puts up his papers, and joins in the fun
Toy dozer and trucks, earth moving lorry
Builds the roads, the park, and lake quarry
Intelligent design in the mind of two
Ideal community with a breath taking view
Planting seeds, ideas to grow
The litle one will one day know
That all his sweat will wash away
The town will slip into the bay
But for joy, together times
Bedtime tales, the bath, the rhymes
Forming walls of strength and stone
Inner strength housed in flesh and bone
Fills heart with goodness gladly shared
With the hurting who were less well prepared.

Brilliant poem. Great analogy and message. The last line threw me a bit. I hate asking a poet to elaborate on a poem but it you feel like it, I wouldn't mind. I'm getting over a bad cold so it could just be that I'm a bit thick right now.

Beautiful work.

I think well adjusted people who had loving fathers are more willing and able to be friend and help those who didn't.
