Where Once Was Love, Love is No More

Our hands were enlaced the last night on this hell hole.
Our mouths filled with ashes,
of a burnt desire.
Our lungs filled with dust
we kissed under the midnight advances
It was crowded downriver
where we danced in the decaying corpses of life unknown
We continued walking in human wastes until the road curved to the cliff overlooking the sea
The shattered seasons beated the lost causes
and selfish thoughts
The smell of death was a bitter perfume showering you
In our cancer you screamed of lust and of love
The sky had come crashing down like the news of an intimate suicide.
The cliff overlooked the death toll
the blood filled sea enriched our passion
The picked up the shards of life
and formed them into words
a melancholy advice
for lovers dead
the Ferris wheel slowed to a stop
and the screams of suicide jumpers haulted our ideals
A better pastime was ours for the taking
and the screams of the camoflauged unborns came unto our ears like a lullabye
I asked if you wouldnt mind a quick fall
into the sea of despair
but you laughed in a quiet mumble
I rode alone.
The sea opened its mouth for my invite
and slowly I drifted
till the coldness found my body
I found you laying face down
swimming in fluid and cartlige
Your eyes found no deed
in any long-last moment
and for a minute
if only 60 seconds
I thought of you
and your undying filth
of a better mourning gaze
Your poetry in despair
finding my heart like a melody

Please tell me what you think
