soft
only a hop away from his lap
but I wait
and just enjoy his form
with my eyes
God I Love him
from his forever worn flat canvass'd shoe
to his upturned eyelash
And he looks at me
he looks at me
and I return the gaze
but only for a second
and we hold it
and it lasts
forever

    This actually gave me goosebumps at the end. I really did love this piece. "When a second lasts forever"....those are the best kinds of seconds.

    I found this poem said it all in so few words, congratulations on the honourable mention, well deserved. 

     

    The lines:

     

    he looks at me
    and I return the gaze
    but only for a second
    and we hold it
    and it lasts
    forever

     

    are full of emotion and love.  Great.
