Grace

With gentle grace and kindly face
You took my heart and in its place
Left love that only God can give
And in this warmth I learn and live

In rain blessed rivers, sun drenched sands
Your dignity pervades the land
Compassion runs through every stream
Through every star and moonlit beam

In fiery Earth and sapphire skies
You've sent your angels in disguise
To watch us, guide us on our path
Until we meet with you at last

With gentle grace and kindly face
You took my heart and in its place
Left love that only God can give
And in this warmth I learn and live

    BEAUTIFUL!!

This is a most beautiful poem of the love God has for us. I especially loved the third stanza and most notably the last two lines of that stanza. Your rhyming is meticulous and when read, it flowed like a beautiful hymn. I could almost hear the music to this awesome poem you have penned. Thank you for entering this into my contest. Good luck, Mysty Rain

Lovely and graceful as a swan in the water...

Your lines are spiritual, lovely and intimate. "In rain-blessed rivers and sun-drenched sands"; this stanza is gorgeous in the penning. You write inspiring work as usual, Stephanie.
