Ladybugs

You don't have to be plastered
to spill your soul.
You don't have to get high
and break your parole.

We talk on the phone
at all hours of day
and whisper at night.
We've so much to say.

Car rides and storms
sprinkled with smiles
ladybugs that linger
movie show aisles

My summer to live,
to learn, and to grow.
With you as my gardener
and so much to show.

Please tell me what you think

this is a really interesting write. the way you auluded gardening and ladybugs to your situation was just simply clever. a quite cute poem with harsh and deep thrust in makes it a good balance. I think the rhyming is a teensy bit forced but thats just my opinion.
