Smiles of Sunshine
Summer
The park is full of people
Walking , running, singing
The eternity of a day in the park
We walk and talk
We remember a time of before
Young love of our youth
Sweet as the taste of vermouth
This is the place we first kissed
The place we pledged our hearts
The first time I saw that smile
The perfect look with downcast eyes
Innocent of any lies,
A blush in your cheek
Young maiden’s bloom
Eyes that sparkled
Like morning dew
All of this I remember still
And you never lost that
Wonderful smile.

You know, you truly are a romantic (I don't care what anybody says) - your poems always come from the heart and I'm not even sure whether they come from experience or not!!!

This is a very beautiful piece, it passes my "close your eyes" test. What is that you ask, well If I can close my eyes and see the piece unfold it is a fantabulous write. I most certainly can close my eyes and see this happening and feel the warm breeze on my face. Perfact job on this piece. I love it.
