Through patience we are taught to wait for answers
that can only come when we're ready to receive them.
No matter how old there are lessons to learn
the unseen will always be shown.
A good parent cannot turn a back on their child
regardless of what is done.
Hypnotic thoughts are placed in the mind
speaking of things to do.
A gift of free-will we are given to explore
things we choose should be chosen wisely.
Alone at times we may often feel
only to find out otherwise.
In body, soul and spirit
each an individual being.
When the spirit of the creator isn't in control
we turn ourselves away.
Without thought of tomorrow
or consequence of our actions.
We do as we please for our pleasure
taking our chances on the wheel of life.
Definitely we should watch how we live
we will get what we give.
A watchful eye peeking over the shoulder
waiting to be called upon is always there.
The sanctuary promised is there waiting
to fulfill our every need.
It's not hard to imagine
though not everyone believes.

Such a beautiful poem written in faith, you wrote this oh so well, true so many people do not believe, such saddness that brings to my heart. I pray for all the souls who are lost and dont know what to believe. Good luck with this contest, your poem is a sure winner to me!
