In a world around me
I learned loneliness
from turbulent skies
I learned about nature’s tears
when you touched me
my heart unfurled
I sang with birds
swayed in the wind
I learned happiness
throughout the years
since you’ve been gone
I’ve learned
forever’s,
not so long.

Simplicity and beauty in one. Great job.

The beauty in this poem is it reminds us of how we can love with all our heart even after the abandonment, or parting or death of a relationship. We can learn to move forward regardless of how deeply we were wounded. Beautiful poetry
