Sitting Watching Teddy.

i sit here blowing kisses at teddy from the floor,
a smile painted on my face, theres nothing i want more,
than to remember the times that teddy and i
would look out at the world and sigh.

a little boy of only six once sat here in this place,
a thousand dreams caught in his head, a million more to chase.
the little boy sat smiling, grateful of his friend,
the only one who's friendship could never ever end.

the child's eyes lost in thought, of things he wanted to say,
words he couldn't quite find, to put in the right way.
the child scrambled to his feet and went to get a pen,
he went to write the things he felt, without forgetting them again.

the little boy scratched his head and then began to write,
the feelings that he felt right then, of happiness and delight.
once the page was filled, the boy looked in teddy's eyes,
he read the page to his friend with loving gratefull sighs.

.....

i sit here blowing kisses at teddy from the floor,
a smile painted on my face there's nothing i want more,
than to sit here watching teddy, sitting watching me,
both feeling contented, the best of friends there'll ever be.

teddy makes me happy, makes me forget the world of hate.
he wipes away my worries, with that there's no debate.
teddy's golden fur glistens in the sun,
his beauty and his comfort and all his loving fun.

there is no one in this world that loves teddy more than me,
for teddy knows my secrets, ones the world will never see.
teddy knows my downfalls, he knows when i am weak,
he joins in with my laughter, and listens when i speak.

i have no friend like teddy in this world that could comapare
no one with all the memories and secrets that we share
i love my little teddy more than the world itself
i'll keep him forever by my side never upon a shelf

.......

so now i sit here blowing kisses, at teddy from the floor,
a smile painted on my face, there's nothing i want more,
than to keep the promise made, when i was a little boy,
to have teddy by my side amonst my sorrow and my joy.
