A man of short stature
compensating for something
one of a kind;
A great man, no doubt
who did great things
one of the best of the bunch--
or at least
better than most;
Accomplished much
egotistical, harsh
conquered lots;
A few mistakes
greater memories;
Froze in Russia,
a stupid move--
so full of yourself,
you failed at suicide--
A great man
of short stature
so fascinating
so talked about
still long-dead.

You not only tried but you did well. It's informative yet with a little opinion thrown in, which I like. Thanks for entering it in the contest.

I echo grannieri's comment. You gave to this poem a fast pace and still made of it an informative read.
Thanks for bringing your poem to this contest
Good luck with all you do

This famous historical figure is well known for his shortness and yet he is also remembered for many other things he did - as you described in these lines. Easy to read and understand; liked the flow and the conclusion you came up with. Liked the brevity of the lines and and different things you wrote about him in these few lines.
