Dangle

I let my legs
dangle,
grazing the unknown.
The world could blink its eye
and find me gone
or finally bleeding out
forgotten regrets.

So I tempt the appetite
of the sickenly glorious
undead.
A delightful panic sets in.
It ricochets through my soul;
I feel my knees shake.
The sunset is unchanged.

Freespiritedly walking home,
I'm overtaken
by more knee shaking.
A loss of willpower;
I sit on the well-worn path.
..who had been the temptress?

Author notes

This got kind of dark as I went along.. it didn't start that way. ^^
