Running in place, trapped in circumstance
folded into wedges of chaos
yearning for life to speak volumes
as lessons falter off fingertips
answers echo in the silence
left with bittersweet memories of pain
webs are spun with life's lessons
feelings of regret, bleed from the veins
leaving jagged, exposed wounds to
slow the process of grief

The last line was very telling, and is probably my favorite line in the piece. Not sure about the "crystal tears" reference and wonder if there isn't another image that would suggest sadness a little better. But overall, the piece had a nice effect on me. Thanks for entering.
