Pantoum Fragment

The woman he kept in his deeper needs
the mark of his world, beauty unto his eyes
grown in his thoughts as passion leads
in gentle waters ‘neath arched rainbow skies.

The mark of his world, beauty unto his eyes;
the anchor for his safe and sheltered lee.
In gentle waters ‘neath arched rainbow skies,
the place of love let his spirit be free;

the anchor for his safe and sheltered lee,
held sweetly beneath this Angel’s wing.
The place of love let his spirit be free,
set the moments of his life in joy arising.

Held sweetly beneath this Angel’s wing
and he closed his eyes into a wondrous glow.
Set the moments of his life in joy arising
and gladness, at long last he came to know.

And he closed his eyes into a wondrous glow
grown in his thoughts as passion leads
and gladness, at long last he came to know
the woman he kept in his deeper needs.

    That was great. Pantoum's are really difficult, you did well. I might suggest though that you base the emotion in something concrete, like a place, time, event; it makes it a bit more accesible to the reader.
    But a pantoum is so hard to even make sense so you did well.

    Breathtaking form and words that equally match, such poignant menaing, "the woman he ketp in his deeper needs" She could be a person or she can actually be your muse....love a poem that makes me think...this is smoothe in its rhyme and excellent form. best of luck!
