I met this guy and he was sweet.
He was kind and caring.
His name was Peter.
Peter Hicks.
I met him on All Poetry and we talked.
We had a lot in common and became fast friends.
We has so much in common that I was liked him and
in a rush I was in love with him.
He said he loved me.
Even though we had only known each other for about 2
weeks, it seemed like forever.
Just last Firday I told him that I loved him and goodbye.
Just that Saturday he wrote me a message saying he was
going to NJ with some friends.
And that we would talk later and that he missed talking to me
and that he loved me.
Just last Saturday Night a drunk driver killed Peter and
his two friends.
Just like that my love was gone.
Never to say "I love you Peter." again.
While Peter and his friends were killed instantly,
the drunk driver was not injured.
They charged him with vechilar manslaughter,
but that isn't enough for me.
While he will serve jail time,
the families of Peter and his friends won't have time
with their sons or brothers anymore.
I won't have time with my love anymore.
Peter was loving, caring, sweet, and kind.
I will miss you forever baby.

On Saturday, June 16th, 2007 Peter Hicks and his 2 friends lost their lives because somebody drove while intoxicated. He told me that he missed talking to me and that he loved me. I wrote him back telling him that I loved him too, but he never got the chance to read it because he was on the road with his friends on the way to New Jersey.

For the little time that I knew Peter he was Very sweet and kind. I hate the fact that people only focus on themselves and dont think of what they could do to others. One day though we will be able to see Peter again and we will all be happy together.

I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss. This is very disheartening. I lost two friends of my own to drunk drivers, about a year apart. Both drunk drivers survived and were out of jail within six months. One friend had only been married to another friend of mine for three months, while the other was killed a day before her 20th birthday, on her way home from college break. Her boyfriend was going to purpose to her the next day. If there's any issue I feel strongly about, it's drunk driving and the justice system's apathy for these people. It's murder, no matter how you break it down. As I said, I'm sorry to hear this. My thoughts are with you.

omg..Peter was an amazing person, we talked sometimes, I met him here on AP too, and he was a realy careing person. I just can't believe this. I just don't want to believe this..I'm so sorry for you, and anyone else who knew him. I'm so sorry, so very sorry.
