Poem for my Mom

Missing image
I feel an empty void
as i read this aloud
I hope you feel me way
up within the spiritual
  cloud

No pain and no more
sorrow, but for me with
out you it feels like no
more tomorrow

It was sad seeing you as
you slowly went away, knowing
what was to come, like this
personal solemn day

You did see all of us, one by
one, telling all of us in your
own special way, the battle i
just can't win even in pain your
face and soul kept up a brave and
courageous grin

Your inner soul is stronger than i
ever knew, but your gone now and
deep down i am spiritually blue

Many times i never told you i loved
you, but without speaking for some
reason i am sure you knew

My voice is quiet and so is my soul
to take care of people and make you
proud was my personal spiritual goal

I scribble on paper til it becomes art
even words i write become something and
for that, I thank you Mom for giving me
that artistic Bond

This is my love that i show to you as my soul
is quiet and so is my voice, to write a poem
was 100% my choice

June 8Th of 2007 my mom could no longer wait
God closed her eyes and stopped her breath,
the creator God stopped Mom's pain,
47 years and four days after my birth she took
god's unseens spiritual hand, even if we are sad
the creator God, i am sure thinks its nothing but
Grand.

    LIONS HAVE PRIDE

This is an amazing piece! I lost my younger brother a couple years ago and this brought me back to that time. This is an amazing piece that nearly made me cry, but in a good way. This poem deserved the spotlight!

    Well done!
    Luna.

WOW!!!! This teared me up today! What a read! I lost my dad not quite three years ago, and so I can completely relate to what you are saying. I have not lost my mom yet, but it is still much the same feelings! I am sorry for your loss.

    Beautiful thoughts, Brad!

You have such a fine name, and it was a gift to you from your mother. Always be sure your name is kept proud because your mom would want it that way. Your mom is not gone... she is just nearby in a better place where she can still see you and love you, and you can do the same toward her. You can talk to her any time you want, and when you say your prayers you can ask God to tell her you love her... and anyway, that is what I do for my mom who has gone to Heaven.
