run free through a sea of tall grass.
Their running spirit embodies
the reality of freedom.
Horses roam the wild prairie land,
drumming hooves and flowing horse-flesh,
drift in sync without a command.
How good it must feel to run free!
Flying manes,tails, and steady knees,
weaving through grass and over hills,
drumming hooves and flowing horse-flesh,
course wherever their freedom craves.
No lack of courage can stop them,
no lack of wits can deter them,
no lack of freedom can pause them,
drumming hooves and flowing horse-flesh.
Author notes
Yippee! My first quatern! Just a quick little poem. I love horses, (and tigers) the movie Spirit, and the music from that movie! I especially like the songs 'You Can't Take Me' and 'Get Off of My Back'. The first song is about freedom. My poem is based on this. (As you smart peeps can tell!) If you haven't heard the song, I suggest you look it up on youtube. You don't have to, since you are free to make your own decisions, but that song really gets me pumped! (to run!) Have a great day!
I would like to dedicate this poem to Dirty and Broken. She wishes for freedom also. If you would like to, talk to her. Make her day bright!
