Darkness and despair
Cloud her twisted mind
She reaches out for something
And her soul is left behind
The blackness closing inward
Her body wrought with pain
The light is disappearing
And the demons start to reign
Her wings are being severed
Her skin is being torn
The crimson blood of torment
Trickles down her fragile form
Her dimming, swollen eyes
Release the coldest tears
A blurred vision stands before her
Of endless pain and fear
She cannot dread the hidden
If her row of lashes fall
Somehow the unknown black
Gives her a calming wall
The hollow shrieks around her
Surround her dieing frame
Losing hope inside her
Her soul shall soon be claimed
Her arms fall limp to her side
When a sudden hope appears
A gentle hand pulls her close
And the darkness slowly clears
His palm is soft and tender
But strong and well defined
The only one to save her
From her slowly wilting mind
Her heart gets back its rhythm
Her skin glows once again
Her spirit is revived
And her body quickly mends
She looks up at her savior
His eyes so calm and still
His handsome tresses fall around
Her love inside fulfilled
Rising upward toward the light
The two entwined as one
Gaze deeply in each other’s stare
From the hell they had just overcome
His delicate, slender fingers
Caress her pastel face
She smiles warmly at her love
And their crimson lips embrace
He’s the one who understands
The only one to help
The haughty, careless souls of light
Could not imagine how she felt
Darkness against darkness
A so-called evil takes the task
Blindly people misconceive
The soul behind the mask.
