SOUL MATES
I always knew that I would find you,
my heart was in unfamiliar territory for so long.
We said our good-byes, left, and never looked back,
for so many years I have been lost and all alone.
Life has been such a challenge without you,
now that you are here I want you to know.
That even though we had our differences,
I have forgiven you and I hope you will do the same.
You have always been a part of my life,
deep down inside of us we know this is meant to be.
Nothing on earth could ever change all that we feel,
please believe me when I tell you that I love you.
Don't ever be afraid to confide in me my love,
I want you to know that I will be here for you always.
We are soul mates, the best of friends, and we'll always be.
