Two met in the forest one evening
One a maid and a lord of night
Tonight he would make her his queen
All through the night to live
Light would no longer inhibit
Eternity their key to conquest
Forever would begin
In each others arms so romantic
Never thinking what humans may care
Stuck in the feeling of power
They never saw the danger coming
Eternity brought to an end at the sight of the cross
Returning to human the maid lost her lord
Never to live an eternity by his side
Instead choosing a young man
Standing side by side till the end

"Totale Finsternis" is the German version of the song "Total Eclipse of the Heart" Written by Jim Steinman.
The poem was inspired by a musical Jim Steinman composed called "Tanz Der Vampire" (Dance of the Vampires).
It is a wonderful musical and the music is amazing.
