Sometimes I wonder what went wrong,
Then I remember a familiar song,
It happened so long ago,
And now my time has finally gone...
Sometimes I wonder where you are,
Time never heals such open scars,
I don't know just how long it's been,
It's like a long forgotten dream.
Some day I might find my way back to you,
And if I don't, will it matter too?
You now seem so very far away,
The distance over too many yesterdays.
-MIDDLE 8-
Will you still remember me again,
Will you still remember my own name?
Those hidden moments that we shared
And dreams we dreamed way back then.
Sometimes I wonder what went wrong,
Then I remember a familiar song,
It happened so long ago,
As time and tide now simply flies...

Nice. I'm enjoying this take on love poems/songs and you have done exactly what I was looking for!
This has great flow and rhythm to it, and was easy to read.
It's so easy to concentrate on what's gone wrong, or what went wrong and asking yourself the 'what if' questions.
A great write, thanks for entering and good luck!

so much time can be spent wondering what went wrong. Maybe sometimes one should ask what went right.
