Have you ever noticed
nothing is what it seems
all our hopes and dreams
flowing in a stream
Up to Heaven all whispered
in God's ear how does
He hear all we have to say
as we kneel each day
to bow our heads and pray
A plan and a purpose are
created with each new life
though our days are often
filled with sorrow and with strife
Wars, famine and disease
are the killers of this world
but fates worse than these
await the wicked souls misdeeds
Count your blessings and hold
fast to those you love
Listen to your teachers
and follow what you are told
For written in the book of life
is each soul who has lived
each and every day for God
and who have strived
to do good works
that uplift their fellow man
