Frankfurt Germany
A happy life, everything is perfect this way.
Until the Nazi party won, March 13th, 1933.
Knowing a day would come his family would flee
The people are changing each and every day.
Listening to the hate the people began to say.
Otto told Edith go to her mothers, wait for thee
He’d make arrangements that keeps his family free.
Edith and the girls packed for Aachen for a short stay.
Amsterdam Netherlands
The family had reunited by February 1934.
Many friends also moved to this promise land.
The girls in school things were going as planned.
Little Anne realized it's the Dutch she adored.
Germany news heard Otto prepared for more.
Financially looking great it was time to expand.
Otto started a 2nd company a bit more grand.
By May 1940 Germany invaded the Netherlands to continue the war.
“Ik mis mijn school en mijn vrienden. Ik krijg om Hannah te zien. Ik
kan geloven niet hoe zijn het veranderen. Zij maken ons zelfs deze
gele sterren dragen.”
The subtle changes of Amsterdam begins where they reside.
The Jewish people were separated then made to work in a camp.
A notice for Margot came that night, father read by the light of the lamp.
Anne told Margot their father had plan where they could hide inside.
It wouldn’t be long for them to come, they have no choice but to decide.
The morning of July 6, 1942 the family moved to their hiding place, although cramped.
Leaving behind Anne’s cat and their home in disarray, quietly head off to a location previously revamped.
Dependant on three employees for food and supplies, this is the only safe place where they can hide.
Tension within starts to rise, as time moves past.
Hoping this war would end soon they prayed.
Until the day came this is where they stayed.
Anne tolerance for Peter grew and stood fast.
A romance between the two, was the first and last.
The security and safety Otto made would be betrayed.
August 4, 1944 German Security Police began its raid.
Captured the families would be under a new class.
Auschwitz Concentration Camp
Three days journey the family travel straight through the night
Split by gender and only those over 15 would be spared.
Only Anne and Margot would remain together and scared.
Sleeping in freezing barrack and full of disease, too weak to fight?
Anne encouraged Margot to hold on tight.
As Margot’s health decline, Anne did the best she could to be prepared.
March 1945 the darkest of days, Margot life came to an end, no longer spared.
A few days later Anne too has past, she tried to survive with all her might.
Otto Frank was the sole survivor in his family. The British Troops liberated the camps only a few weeks after Anne’s death.

Best of luck in this and all of your endeavors.
