Escaping The Darkside.

You have provoked the darkside of my emotions
but at first your attentions intrigued me,
flames of dark energy invading my heart
almost bringing me to my own destruction.

I lacked sophistication as desire overcame
in sparking fireworks I became consumed,
this kinetic connection between us two
mystified and drew me further under your spell.

Over time I began to feel my spirit start collapsing
perplexed at your vicelike, sinister treatment of me,
as your temper explodes I shun this world
brought here under malevolent intent.

Finally illumination has dawned
as I desperately try to grasp back my reason,
escape I must as your world is not mine
or I will be lost forever in a dark abyss.

Allowing the light to take over my mind
I break out from the insanity of your world,
turning my back, wings of liberty flee
to evade fires of forever damnation.
