The bench on which I wished to sit,
On which I wished to reflect upon the words that
Recently entered my mind and soul,
Was wet with the morning dew.
So I stood, looking up at the sky,
Thinking of the world and of the massive distances
Between hate and love.
Which is stronger and
Which holds more passion over the people
Who wish to hold on?
This world has people who hold on
Too strongly
To hate, and
Not enough who hold on stronger still
To love.
Entered my mind was the thought,
The promise,
To love more and
Hate less.
The power and the atmosphere
Which takes hold over this Great Earth
Would be greater if the people
Loved.
Be it for God, or the person to your side.
That is the message we should obtain
From the sun and sky.
As I stood contemplating the world's emotions,
I wish to sit, for possibly my words
Would reach a larger spectrum of meaning.
And so I sat upon the dew-soaked bench,
Which may have been an interpretation
Of my tears,
And sitting,
Feeling closer to the love of
God and all that is around me.
The love that all in the world
Should feel.
