As I lay in the in the dark,
thoughts escape my mind and shatter my heart,
when I think about what could have been,
and what I can achieve,
sometimes in life there is nothing to believe.
But all I know is this,
life is a challenge which must be embraced,
or all life’s love will transpose to hate.

hi i thought this was well written and the flow was good liked how short it was but how you managed to put it all in to 8 lines so well thanks for entering and good luck in contest

the last line really says it all and it's true. hate takes up too much emotion that could be put to good use!
