Maybe it was never meant
Never truly meant to be
But of all our little hearts
Why did it have to be me?
So she wept inside the fountain
The waters, cold, disguised a tear
As her heart mended from breaking
For memories to disappear
Was it ever really real?
Or was it really just a lie?
I just wish it wasn't me
Why I ask? O ever, why?
Once so pure, once just an angel
Once so innocent in love
The little fallen child rested
Wings were sent down from above
The fountain had been her secret place
So up above the angels swore
As the young girl went to heaven
That's where she'd rest, forever more
