You and Me

You think my depression
        is a turn off to you.
But when I'm around you,
        I'm not depressed.
You bring me an instant of contentment
        and when you're attentive or
Even glancing at me,
        I forget about the dark moments
And everything else.
        It seems we rarely have time alone,
Still I can't help
        but continually think of you.

I have never felt such consuming feelins,
        and I am a little scared.
But being scared is part of love.
        I know you never damage my spirit.

You inspire me to write
        and to create.
When we are finally alone,
        I intend to look in your eyes
And hope that I am there.

I would feel discouraged if
        we weren't together and
I would gradually fade.
        My depression would just
Swallow me whole and my
        life would come to end.
