the sun sets,
the rose of romance blossoms,
a new beginning at
twilight- a million different lovers swoon.
The car swerves at twilight;
freed by the setting sun,
the deer prance,
the little one jumps at
twilight- a dangerous time; cause of a thousand and one dents.
Falling asleep at twilight;
the mothers croon
lullabies whisper
to children drifting off at
twilight- a relaxing hour to dozens of mothers' children.
The door slams at twilight;
a stupid fight
over bread and butter
leaves her crying alone at
twilight- another man to get drunk at the three bars in town.
My heart longs for that twilight;
Venus in the sky,
your head in my lap,
my heart among the stars at
TWILIGHT
Author notes
I used 'bread and butter' in the fourth stanza to symbolize the simple things... "that twilight" in the last stanza was a personal reference-not meant to refer to any of my other stanzas particularly.
and i meant to go back and forth between good and bad times at twilight... to sort of represent the different meanings twilight can have for different people.. i could have gone on with more situations.. but i like to think the gist of it was caught...or that people read my notes...
and i would like to thank lostinawe for the inspiration of this topic, 'twilight'.
like? don't like?

Nice
I liked how you captured the many different aspects of twilight. This was very nicely-written. Thanks for sharing, and keep it up.
