Silence before the Storm

Not sound to be heard, no thoughtless speech.
Just me, and the heart, I do beseech.
I beg to tell me, to answer my call,
what happens when seemingly true love does fall?
The dispair, the grief, and heartache immense,
and lost time and love, with no recompense.
When even a strong man falls to cry,
and pray, only seeing him, is the falling sky.
When his world burns and sky just crashes,
and everything he loves, cinders and ashes.
What happens after "perfect" is no more?
and dying with broken heart, has no cure?
I beg you heart, you speak when silent,
and beat so strongly, though almost violent.
What happens when my "perfect" falls into the quay?
or can you tell me it won't end up that way.
I don't plan for the morrow, or when daylight is torn,
I just wait for the silence, before the storm.
When you finally speak, and answer my cries,
telling me to think, and I will survive.
But now you stay, silent, and calm,
a softer beat, under another's palm.
You tell me it's fine, live for tonight,
and I'll see everything will stay alright.

Author notes

This is inspired by a piece of orchestral music by my favorite composer, Nobuo Uematsu,
