Sitting alone, writing my journal
Underneath dark thunder clouds
A mystic storm emerging
My heart breaking and soul clenching
With every thought of you
I remember how we dreamed of long walks
The one time we were caught in the rain
Late at night when I read your letters
The words seem to always protect me
You hide miles and miles away
Millions and millions of miles away
And I yearn to hold your hand
Sometimes I wish
That you were you
But someone else
Visions of you traveling to me
Across deep oceans, vast canyons
And wide open spaces
Into my compassionate arms
Setting out on the journey of love
Cannot imagine, wanting to change you
Its amazing, your natural disposition
Healing my pain, confidence gained
Just doing the things you do
Just by simply being you
The more I want you
The more I'm not allowed
And I hope he treats you right
Sometimes I wish
That you were you
But someone else

How could I not love this poem? It's a gorgeous expression of your love. You definitely earned your trophy, though you deserved gold.
It's amazing how much love one can feel for another that they've never met, but only spoken with. That really shows the power of words.

This is beautifully written. Has great emotion and devotion and a vast sense of loneliness. If you could harness what draws you to those of us you devoted this into one woman..you would have your ideal mate.
The internet offers us many aspects that sometimes get overlooked. You learn of the person before you learn of their visual appearance..so therefore ....you find their soul. In doing so you find the true meaning of a person.
