Freedom

Drifting out at sea
The power unfolds underneath us
Constant rocking of the sea

The mainstay sways gently
Steady and true
An attribute for a captain

Decisions made on spot
Guilty nightmares
Shameless acts of greed

The sounds of cleaning
Heard throughout the vast freedom
Roaming the seas unheard

Ragged clothes
Rancid smell
The showings of a true pirate

Quick on ones feet
Full of witty comebacks
Attracted to shiny things

Cannons and guns
Powder and swords
The perfect hat
Nothing without a coin or two

The salty spray
A rhythmic pulse
The beat of life

Freedom, a costly gamble
A spinner's luck
A valued achievement

Hey! me again... so, apparantly people aren't really into this whole "multi-round contest" thing, and i'm not getting anywhere near the amount of entries i needed to make this contest a success. As a result, i have decided to cancel the contest. Sorry! but don't worry, all your hard work has not gone unappriciated, and you will be rewarded 100 points for participating

    Hoodwinked

This was interesting. I felt like i was really on a ship and the only pirate stories i know are the Pirates of the Carribbean movies.

Interesting. The fun part about assigning words like Mainstay and the like is that you never know which definition of that word the poet will use. You descided to go with the really literal meaning; which is, of course, as part of a ship. Really good work on this, Once again, thanks for entering, and best of luck in the contest!
