The gods cruel joke

Two lonely souls cried out on the wind
"Please dear heart let me in."
But the gods just laughed, "What fools are men,
To think they have a chance in their world full of sin."

Yet beneath the pale moon the lovers cried out none the less
While their hopes were being shattered by the gods cruel jest.
That brought them together only to keep them apart
‘Till drifting on the wind, flew the remnants of their hearts

'tis been a while 'as it no'?

what a way to reconect... aye indeed the gods do make jest. but mayhap 'tis because we at least can feel love... if sometime no' get it. i 'ave been told that the gods dinna ken love, no' realy... and 'tis what makes them jest wi' us so... makes me wonder whom i feel most poorly for.. the lovers keeped apart, or thoes whom couldna feel love at all.

i must remember to come by when 'tis no so late,

    Great poem...

Some very true words written in this poem.. I wish I could get back into writing but there are not enough hours in the day... maybe some day soon, I will get the inspiration to write again.
    Miss you
