Gracious hostess, my dreams are safely in your hands
How secure this haven seems from life's relentless demands
Gossamer wings will lift you up to new heights in my mind
Anxious that those gilded wings may leave me far behind
My clouded world cannot eclipse the radiance of your soul
Though the hurts and fears of yesteryears exact a hellish toll
Angelic as you perch gazing on my fragile lovers light
Your demanding compassion has guided me through this night

Beautiful imagery! I love the way your poem flows with natural rhyme- it doesn't feel forced.
