Canvas Love

Beautiful ice blue eyes stare down at her,
Fire and a mischievous light reflected inside.
A cocky smile frozen in place,
Smooth bronze skin and dimpled cheeks.
She is falling in love with this man.

Hair falling into the eyes, shinning in the light,
She longs to sweep it away from his brow.
A golden waterfall it seems to be,
Flowing past his shoulders, to the collar bone.
How could any woman resist this man?

Her eyes travel up the length of his body.
A tailored white shirt flung over a bare bronze shoulder.
Well built chest tapering down to a lean waist,
Low riding slacks on muscled hips.
This man oozes of sexuality.

One strong, yet gentle hand extends out to her.
He beckons her to come and join him.
She reached out to grab his hand, to touch his body.
She would live with him forever if he wished; loving him, giving him children.
No woman would even try to resist him; she is flattered he chose her.

Her fingertips touch his hand, hesitantly.
But instead of warm, smooth skin as she expected to touch.
She finds but a scratchy, hard surface.
She shakes her head and pulls her hand back; the illusion fading to find.
This man is not real; ‘tis nothing more than canvas love.

Author notes

For my lovely auntie, silenced angel char and her uh...contest (^_^) the one and only idol (round three). tears and raine: an object, painting. Not EXACTLY what most people would expect. The inspiration was long in the making. However, this is for you, auntie. ^_^
