If I said that I were broken
Would you turn the other way
Or would you look me in the face
And by my side, you'd stay
If you saw me crying
Would it make you laugh and run
Or would you offer me a shoulder
As I slowly come undone
If you heard the fear
As in my voice, it sounds
Would you still stand by me
Or knock me to the ground
If I said that I were broken
From all the past mistakes
Would you give me your strength
Or watch as my heart breaks
Would you turn the other way
Or would you look me in the face
And by my side, you'd stay
If you saw me crying
Would it make you laugh and run
Or would you offer me a shoulder
As I slowly come undone
If you heard the fear
As in my voice, it sounds
Would you still stand by me
Or knock me to the ground
If I said that I were broken
From all the past mistakes
Would you give me your strength
Or watch as my heart breaks
Author notes
With the many times that I've believed in people, given trust that wasn't easy to give in the first place, I find that so often when people know something that isn't the norm or out of the ordinary, their friendship and/or words go right out the window. Guess I'm just blowing off some subtle steam.

Please tell me what you think

Autumn, hon, you are not broken. Perhaps a little damaged, as I think we all are in one way or another, but never broken. For those that push you away for their selfish thoughts and stupidity, they don't deserve to know you, period. I for one, am not going out any windows. My ♥ on Valk's wings.

Oh yeah I understand the believing in someone and having them stab you in the back. Trust is hard for me as well. This is a very strong and powerful write. I hope it has helped to get it out. You have many people here who care for you, I know it is not the same as if we were physically there with you, but the feelings and want to support are just as strong. Hang in there girl!

Thank you Jeannie. I had no doubt you would understand and feel this. No, not the same when in person, but people like you still see me through, and I appreciate it.

Nice write Storm, its hard when people aren't willing to accept all of you, the good and the bad, the ups and the downs.
It expresses the feeling associated with giving your private self into another's care and not being sure whether it would be accepted or rejected without getting run down in accusations and anger.
A nice rhymes and rhythm.

Thanks Adrian. I find when I've opened myself up to let people know of some of the things that occurred (or should say happened to me) that more often than not, it blows people away, and out they go. Guess I'm just so freaking sick of it. Appreciate your comments hun.
