The following song I wrote with the idea that most of societies problems would be fixed if people worked together (and i dont mean with businesses 100 miles away) in communities to for the necessities of survival without materilistic values (such as helping someone build their house for a thousand dollars) if, in years to come, our government looses its stability (and its stability is currently decreasing) especially with the extremist parties. Well, the "Million Men" is metaphoric for the fact that we cant just have a stable society with the coperation of 10 people, because then everyone else would just survive with what benefits themselves and not care to help a person that lives 2 feet away from them, or not care to be helped. It would work if a "million men" would work together so the basic necessities of survival would be satisfied and supported by every person. So, with that idea in mind, everything is sorta just creative and is either symbolic or metaphoric. That is for you to interpret and understand. Enjoy.
Now that we are self-containd,
It's hard to regain
The strength of a million men.
How many craters must be made?
How many Gods must we create?
To understand why
There are a million men.
How loud must one speak?
What words must be spoken?
To be understood
by a million men.
How many wars?
How many people must die?
To make alive a million men.
How many skulls must be seen?
How many tons of blood is convincing?
What does blood have to stain
To be framed in history,
To be a funny memory,
Within the minds of a million men?
How long can a country keep peace
before a bomb is made?
And when it hits,
how long can we survive?
How much more can poets write
To give the message of life?
How many of their books
must be sold
to be read by a million men?
What kind of songs
will get a million men to sing?
All we destroy...
All the noise...
What more can we survive
before we get the attention
of a million men?
How many suns must there be
to allow a million men to see?
How many people have to run
to make a million men march?
How many people can save the lives
of a million men?
Because all I see are graves...
Carved and saved...
Stored away for the day
our chance fades away...
To regain the strength
of a million men.

There are some powerful words here my friend. I'd love to hear the song. The questions askes in this write, are the questions of someone who cares, and that certainly comes through. The ending is a little dark, but all in all it's a powerful write. Well done Austin.

This is the first song which i can sing and play the guitar music i wrote for it at the same time, and it sounds really good. But I'm going to get my friend to include some drums in the song, and I might include other nice sounds and tunes to make the music more interesting. Some piano would go nice in the beginning...maybe a flute somewhere, and when it gets intense there would be some good drums, heavier strumming on guitar chords, mix of many sounds which would be man-made, nothing done by computer. And when it is fully done and recorded perfectly, I'm going to submit it to a nearby radio station. I might edit the lyrics to be a bit better, unless anyone thinks it is perfect as it is. Please say so. I really would like this to turn out as a great song. I want to send out a powerful message. I might add more symbolic or metaphoric stanzas which i will come up with at random times. It will of course relate to the message. But please be fully honest in your comment. I don't care what it is, just be honest.
Thanks.
