Upon my little table
I sit and look outside
Watching as the sun
Sets for the night, to hide
I see the birds all leaving
The trees they leave behind
As they fly so freely
Still, I hear them in my mind
I watch the sky's hue change
From subtle blues to pink
Watching as the world goes by
With all the thoughts, I think
I look straight up, to see
In the distance of the night
Many twinkling flecks of stars
Winking out their light
The sun now has fully set
The moon casts it's evening glow
But tomorrow is another day
When the sun rises outside my window

Beautiful words drifting on a gentle flow. This is a wonderful write. So peaceful. I really felt you words as I read them. Well done. I wish you the best of luck in the contest.
