What do you do when the cuckoo flies its nest
What do you say, when they decide to soar
Into a world that doesn’t include you
How do you tell them, that for you there’s so much more
You want to share and be part of their world
You want to tread in the footprints they have made
All your life and still you’re not prepared
As they fly in sunlight, while you wait in shade
And Oh how you want to scream out NO
No way, not yet – it isn’t time to go
But you know that you must step aside
And smile encouragement
Not run away and hide
But push, not pull them, help them spread their wings
For your love is unconditional and it has many strings.
Please tell me what you think

Beautifully worded and woven with a sweet delicate pen. I'm sure many will relate to your words. Well done with this lovely write.
