You are there for me when I am happy
There when I am sad,
When grief beyond expression is in my heart.
You celebrate with me on victories,
No matter how small no matter how great.
You are there when I fall down,
You tend to my wounds and wipe away my tears.
You pick me up and help me stand.
You shelter me from the harshest of storms,
Yet you give me the freedom to learn from my mistakes.
When I need someone to talk to you are there.
You teach me to listen to what you are saying.
You may not be here to hug me,
But I can feel the cool breeze you send when I am hot,
Or the sun when I am blue.
The song of the birds when I am singing...
I still know you care.
You are God my Father.
The best father I could ever have.
I know you are there!

Thank you. I wrote this in church on Fathers Day.. I know that I do have an earthly father out there somewhere but right now I have no connection with him so this was my connection with the only "Father" I have ever known, and I know that he is the best one.. so I just felt like I had to write something. Thanks for your comment it means alot. Speaking of which I would love to see some penning by you dear sister.
