Walls in Love (Lyrics) Female voice, piano, melody only
I’ve found a new love,
why can’t I forget you?
What did I ever do-
except love you?
(Chorus)
There’s something in the way
I see you.
There’s something in the way
you see me.
Yesterday I saw you
on 34th avenue
100 feet away
and I felt you near…
Did you feel me?
I’m still not over you,
what did I ever do
to deserve this hell?
(Repeat Chorus)
And how many times are you
going to pretend not to know me,
like I'm some kind of shadow
seen by the light of the lamp?
How could you ever think that
your guilt won't ever show
when it's carved deep into
your face?
(Chorus 2)
But there’s something
in the way
I see you
and there’s something
in the way
You see me
There’s always something
in the way…

This certainly has that lyrical feel to it. I have never attempted to write lyrics and honestly don't think I even have the talent to do such, so it's nice to see you sharing this.

OOh I really like these lyrics! So honest, touching and real. down to earth. I would really like to hear this as a song.

Very nice lyrics, that many of us can relate to. Being able to relate is what makes a great song (or poem)
'And how many times are you going to pretend not to know me, like I'm some kind of shadow seen by the light of a lamp', is my favorite, a really great verse. Thank you for sharing. -
