You're eating again!
Some poor wee creature you've snared
Amongst damp green shrubs.
Author notes
A haiku about my cat, who sometimes catches insect, mice and frogs and eats them, leaving messy globs on my lawn.

This made me smile...I let the dogs out this morning and to my horror, I found a mouse head sitting on my sofa. I presumed it was a peace offering for the dogs from my big ginger tom
Ah well, it woke me up
I enjoy haiku very much and this one is a treat, even if a bit gruesome

I love Haiku but find them incredibly addicting. Who can write just one!
You could flip this and start with the bottom line - to set the "stage" so to speak for the rest. Just an idea.

At least your cat eats 'em...I used to receive gifts of headless field mice at the backdoor. I even once received a squirrel's tail without the squirrel! Gosh, did your haiku evoke a lot of memories!!!

Thank you for this great entry to the contest!
