On Nappy and Jo's first true meeting
He stated that "Glory is fleeting"
"Obscurity, though" (he added to Jo)
"Lasts for ever" (How's that for a greeting?)
Another of Bonaparte's quotes
(And here I've consulted my notes)
Was that England's a nation
Of shopkeeping station
While the Scots mainly dine upon oats
No, he didn't say that of the Scots
But the English? He didn't like lots
At Waterloo they both battled
But Nappy was rattled
For Wellington off him knocked spots
To Elba he lastly retired
And 'twas there the wee fellow expired
Was it poison? Or cancer?
No-one now knows the answer
But in France he's still greatly admired
Author notes
I didn't do well in history at school, as you can probably tell.

Lol... What an amusing poem, and glory be to Nappy for his infamous quotes. Maybe you didn't do well in history but this piece surely says that you got something out of it. A great entertaiing poem

Good luck in the contest

Nappy
I think that his feeling to the British folk was little more than not liking lots. I'm sure he had dreams of eating a Duke a l'orange
What a funny poem, and I think you didn't that bad in history.
Thanks for entering and good luck with all you do!
