All Char Broiled With Gravy Amiss.

All Char Broiled With Gravy Amiss:

The end is nigh, yet we haven't taken heed,
Mother earth cries out desperate for help
as a fever is running terribly high
and will not ever recede.

All the signs are in front of us,
but we still commit our crimes,
billowing out smoke and grime daily
into the air that we all breathe.

Both murder and suicide are
the atrocities we are making,
a slow death to all in
bringing up all the heat from hell.

Invest your funds wisely,
put them in a company
that makes a range of sunblock,
for this is where the future lies.

The other day the mercury
read thirty three Celsius and
still does it continue to rise,
yet summer is yet to be upon us?

For global warming is up and coming,
tomorrow we will be the daily roast where
today lies only a rack of lamb, would you
like to be served up char broiled or sunny side up.

There be no medium rare,
only well done and burnt to a
crisp and unfortunately the
gravy and horse radish amiss.

Like Nicole, the sunblock was the best, lol, and in the very near future, the only thing that keeps us from becoming racks of over done prime rib! Great message with bursts of quick humor and minced with true sadness of our universal plight...and no, don't hold back the gravy.

sunblock. lol. I don't know why I thought that was funny. Not funny ha-ha, of course, just funny in it's own way. Loved the slight internal rhyme with crisp and amiss at the end, and really the final stanza in its entirety was something to chew on a bit. The message was clear and concise and enjoyable. Thanks for that.
