Huguelot Castle Fairies
One afternoon, as I was strolling round
within the woods below my garden gay,
distinctly, I could hear the merry sound
of happy, laughing children at their play.
Then, suddenly, the sight confronted me
of little people chattering away.
Their king and queen allowed them to run free
while walking through the woods that happy day.
I followed cautiously but kept quite quiet.
They danced so merrily with simple song,
I dared not interrupt nor cause a riot
by scaring them or doing something wrong.
And look! A tiny castle - just like ours,
here in the woods, exact in replica!
The same in every way - even the towers,
the gardens, stables, moat, etcetera!
The king and queen walked hand-in-hand, content
like all those little people, without fear;
safe in these leafy woods that they frequent.
I wish you all could see - but not too near!
If you are walking through these woods, take care.
Remember; there are little people here!

This is fun, Jen, a very lovely rhyme and the story of the little people is quite whimsical! I like the detail of their castle being a replica of Huguelot. Best of luck!

Beautiful Jen
Dear Jen, My this is a lovely entry about the Fairies of Huguelot. You'll also have to take the King and I to see them one day.
Love A/J

So if there is a little Huguenauties castle, there must be two little Yem and Ima's running about! How cool. I want to capture them, keep them in a bottle and feed them...see if I can make them grow...or
plant them in the ground...
Sorry, I tend to lose control now and then. But the poem is wonderfully imaginative...the idea of a alternate life in miniature is creative.
Have you checked on them lately? I was walking in the woods last night and stepped on something....

Dear Jen,
~A Beautifully Penned Dream Enchanting~
When the day is long and I sing a song quite merry
I look to the magic woods for the songs of fairies,
Tis there I hear their silent poetry, and their laughter near
You have drawn me closer to the nature spirits singing here,
A beautiful enchanting fantasy as you dance in poetic harmony.
You decorate the magic woods, with grace cheer and artistry.
Best of luck in the contest, ~Love and Hugs, Sharon~

Dear Jen,
This is a lovely Fairy tale. Imagine finding an exact replica of our Castle in the woods, that must've been a wonderful experience. You must take me there one day, I promise I'll keep very quiet.
Beautifully written dear cuz.
Love Hine.

Dear Jenelda,
Confhughcius say:
"Those who have eyes to see and ears to hear
and are not sceptical but do believe,
will always find the 'little people' near
and, from their charms, good luck and health receive."
Because you have a good heart and a kindly nature with a mind free of spite, you were blest with a vision of the little people and their faery king and queen which others, in their blindness, cannot see. Such a blessing fills the heart and soul with a gladness and peace that only few experience and this is reflected in your delightful poem which I am bookmarking for re-reading and future enjoyment
Good luck in the voting, dear heart and may health and happiness be yours always.
Applause, Love and hugs, XXX Hugh (R.)
